Hi, I'm Sarah.

I have loved museums since I first visited the Smithsonian when I was a kid. I grew curious about the stories behind everyday objects and material culture--all the things that surround us, are shaped by us, and in turn affect our experience of the world.

I first had the chance to rummage through historic archives while researching a fisheye-lens camera in grad school, and I got hooked on discovering the stories hidden in archival collections. In my past ten years working in museums, I've found a way to combine my love of research, writing, history, and material culture through creating museum exhibitions.
